Subcommittee meeting: please attend

My friends, I wish to announce that I am convening the secret subcommittee of homosexuals to consider the place of theologians in the Episcopal Church.

I know that some of you have connections with the theology community (some of your best friends are theologians), but I must ask that if you happen to speak with any theologians, you conceal your membership on this committee from them until such time as we have made our determinations about the extent to which theologians may participate in the life of the Church.

We begin with cocktails at 6:00, in the usual meeting-place. The password is "transparency."

Heh.

(The whole thing is a parody of itself at this point, isn't it?)

I'll be there as long as you promise there'll be lots of gin and lace...

The best said yet. And yet many don't seem to see the problem with this.

Count me in! Oh shoot. I forgot membership is supposed to be secret! :)

I feel so objectified.

Fr Cramer -- unfortunately, now that you have that book coming out (as it were), I can no longer regard you as a mere priest. You have become a theologian and as such must be regarded with suspicion.

I want to join too. Theologians are definitely odd - they all sit around and talk about god, of all things. Instead of shopping and sipping Manhattans and stuff like that. Sheesh!
