Sewanee announces three new appointments

Actually two -- they announced the NT guy a while back. Interesting that they raided Scotland and Yorkshire for these guys. The Theology-and-Ethics guy has a particular interest in Austin Farrer, which has to be a good thing. I believe I met him, actually, at an Aquinas conference in 2003. Among other things, he's been research assistant to the Archbishop of Canterbury, which must be an interesting job. And the History guy is particularly interested in Anglican engagement with the Fathers, which also has to be a very good thing indeed.

Couldn't resist noting that Ben King (the History guy) is an old friend of mine, and is an outstanding priest and historian. It may not be obvious from the Sewanee press release, but he's also British.

"Yorkshire"?

Wait. Why did I say Yorkshire? I do know better than that.

Please ignore me.

(Unless maybe Fr King is from Leeds or something, unbeknownst to me.)
