More bad news

Things get worse and worse at Seabury. The faculty have been told that their appointments will end June 30, 2009.

The Rev'd Dr Adam channels Monty Python to explain what this means.

Sad news indeed, but, like the inevitablel consolidation of airlines, this, too, was going to happen. Seabury happened to be the first one to fall.

I wonder what it will mean for the Dioceses that often sent postulants there, especially Indianapolis. Indy likes to approve for ordination folks who can't otherwise do fulltime study for three years; they typically take classes at the local DoC seminary and then do their Anglican Year at Seabury. They still could so, I suppose, but Sewanee is the next closest from a dirving perspective, and that's about 6 hours away by car, rather than at most three from Indianapolis to Evanston.
