And then the utter fatuity of the observation that this will allow the left to use ideology as a litmus test. Of course! Why did they not think of that before? It has simply never occurred to anyone on the left to use an ideological litmus test on judicial nominees. Why, now there will be nothing to prevent Chuck Schumer from saying that Republican picks are "out of the mainstream." Dianne Feinstein might openly worry about a nominee's soundness on Roe v. Wade. What have these bastards unleashed on us?
